About the Speaker:
Dave Dookeeram is an entrepreneurial healthcare professional with a strong track record in operations management and management consulting. He is recognized for creating and leading the largest U.S. academic hospitalist and palliative care physician group practice.
In physician group practices, Dookeeram is well respected for the effective application of performance improvement tools, data-driven decision making and effective change leadership. He is skilled at navigating complex political environments, guiding teams through financial turnaround, strategic planning and process improvement.
For over seven years, he has worked with community and academic hospitalist programs to improve profitability; engage physicians in proactive strategy development; and streamline discharge communication.
Dookeeram has served the Society of Hospital Medicine as Annual Meeting faculty, and Committee Member of the Leadership Task Force which planned and implemented the first leadership training for hospitalists.
